There's a tip in gmail at the bottom saying that we can compose a new message or reply to an existing one in a new window by holding shift and then clicking on the appropriate link. this works fine, except that signatures aren't added and the signature selection box isn't there either. I'm using Gmail Signatures 1.12.05b and Firefox 3.6 I think it's no big deal. Hell, I may well be the only to have noticed this feature :P Last edited Feb. 18, 2010 - 2:12pm by Jerome

That's called "tear out mode", and yes I'm aware of the issue. Support for this is planned. |

Tear out mode is also supported on reply, and as in compose the signatures are missing.
I also know that CRMs that hook into google apps (capsuleCRM being one of them) support clicking on an email link in the CRM which then opens a new compose window and yes the signatures are missing, so I hope that the promised support for tear out mode will also include this case. As I admin a capsuleCRM account, then if you need any assistance in testing this then just let me know. Last edited Apr. 22, 2010 - 2:24am by davehall
